Anxiety is being felt for the salety of Air Alfred Young, of Ghuztiee street, Wellington, who arranged to meet friends at Kaitoke on May 9, after a tramp through the rough country on the Tararua Ranges about the Waiohiue and Tauherenikau Valleys, but has not yet been beard of. Mr Young, who is twenty-two years of age. and is said to be an experienced tram per, set out on April 2G with the intention of going oyer grounds for which ho lias a trapping license. He had sufficient food fot fourteen days. He told his friends that he might be a day or two late, but as he is now eight days overdue feats are entertained that he, may ,bo, lost or have met with an accident.’. The weather has been bad in the Tararuns recently, and snow has fallen.
