Holding that the centre of the bitumen was the centre of tbo road, His Honour Mr Justice Herdniun, in a reserved judgment at Hamilton, dismissed a motion for retrial in the case in which damages were awarded against a lorry driver for negligent driving. The evidence showed that there were 39ft of reasonable and usable road, of which 28ft consisted of bitumen. Near Broeu Hill, in Northern Rhodesia, is a village of “ White Kaffirs.” These natives, or albinos, have red hair of a woolly texture, their skin is " bite and they have pink eyes.
