A Los Angeles ine.ssage states that • the longshoremen’s strike assumed a serious aspect to-day after an early morning clash, in which one striker was killed and scores injured. Strikers attacked a building where several hundred strike breakers were concentrated. The police were compelled to fire many volleys into the ranks of the strikers.
