NEWFOUNDLAND AND IMMIGRATION DISCUSSED (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, May 15. (Received May 16, at noon.) Mr J. H. Thomas addressed a private meeting of members of the House of Commons. Referring, to Newfoundland, ho said the latest figures of the result of the new administration showed greater success in the rehabilitation of that country’s finances than had been expected within such a short period. The Government, he remarked, was continuing to study the question of immigration, but immigration from Britain on a largo scale must depend on increased prosperity in the dominions.
