(Received May 16, at 11 a.m.) The liner Olympic from Southampton collided with and sunk the Nantucket Shoals lightship to-day in a dense fog. Seven of the sixteen members of the lightship crew were killed. OLYMPIC’S RESCUE WORK (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 15. (Received May 16, at noon.) Wireless messages from the Olympic reported that she stood by to rescue the lightship’s crew, which numbered eleven, but seven of them lost their lives, four being, drowned and three others dying after being picked up.
