BURNED TO DEATH EFFORT TO SAVE BOOKS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE May 10. (Received May 16, at 10.30 a.m.) In an attempt to save the books of the Post Office at Yallourn Mrs Hutchinson, the postmistress, was burned to death. Her husband tried to rescue her, but was driven back by the flames and smoke. The weatherboard building, consisting of dwelling, stole, and Post Office, was destroyed.
