WAIKOUAITI RACES.

TO THE EDITOR, js Sir,—l was very muclr interested when reading your remarks in Saturday’s sub-leader regarding the knowall, M'ho suggests abolishing the animal day's racing at Waikouaiti on Non - Year’s Day. That is a day when a great many parents look forward to having a day’s outing with their children. They puck up their kit, take their teapot, and there is always plenty of hot water there, and they enjoy the day sitting on the hillside M-ateliing the races. T.here is one error you made, and I hope you will excuse me for putting you right. That is regarding the president being in Waikouaiti in tho coaching days of Ned Devine.
