SYDNEY SALES RESUMED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, May 14. The wool sales were resumed. Competition was fairly general, mainly on Gorman and French account, with good support from Yorkshire on suitable lines and a moderate demand from Japan. Compared with the closing sales at the beginning of March, good bulky combing wools were 7J to 10 per cent, lower, average fleece and skirtings about 15 to 20 per cent, lower, and inferior and faulty, for which competition was very irregular, 20 to 25 per cent, below the .March Sydney levels. Greasy merino made to 23d. The offerings consisted of 12,077 bales, 7,053 being sold, while 1,817 were disposed of privately.
