Linden, Lodge, No. 5, met in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Roslyn, A.D. Bro. iyrrell being in the chair. Correspondence was light, and tho routine business was quickly put through. D.B. Brof A. Bundle paid his iirst official visit to the lodge, and received a warm welcome from the members. Committee reports from various members were received and adopted by the lodge. Arrangements were completed for ladies night. M.C. Bro. P. Jenkins took charge of the lodge, and some solid practice for the Ross Stewart Shield team was carried out. Tho remainder of the evening was spent in cards. The toast to the D.P. was proposed by P.G.P. Bro'. Walker, who eulogised Bro. Bundle s past work, and wished him every success in his new office. Bro. Bundle replied briefly. P.D.P. Bro. Brockie replied for the visitors. Otago Lodge met last Monday, when Arch Druid Bro. Shepperd presided over a large attendance of members and visitors. Correspondence included an invitation from Court Woodland s PnciO to a social evening, and an acknowledgment of sick pay received from a West Australian brother. Ivanhoe Lodge, with Bro. Vernon as leader, paid an official visit to contest the euchre shield, and, after a vigorous and enjoyable game, suffered defeat by a small margin. A sub-committee was set up to make arrangements for the anniversary meeting of the lodge in Juno. P.D.P. Bro. Bundle, members of tho Ivanhoe, Bay, and Alornington Lodges were welcome visitors. Arch Druid Bro. Ingle presided over a good attendance of brothers at tho fortnightly meeting of the Lily of the Valley Lodge, held in tho Albany Street Hall- Routine business was speedily disposed of* to allow the lodge to carry out the syllabus. Sick pay amounting to £1 13s 4d was passed for payment. One new member was proposed "for initiation. The sccretarv, Bro. Watson, reported on his visit to Bay Lodge, and was thanked. A.D. Bro. Ingle reported on the visit by the lodge to tho installation of district president of No. 2 district, at Enterprise Lodge. Bro. APBratney reported on a visit to Bose of Palmerston Lodge. The lodge was then adjourned for the entertainment of the ladies at progressive euchre. After an enjoyable game the following were the successful winners Ladies; First prize, Airs Farqu liars on ; second prize, Airs H. Green; booby prize, Sister Ingle. Alen : First prize, Bro. H. Winter; second prize, Bro. Bennett. The Royal Arch Chapter attended to present the lodge with the Beazlev Banner. Bro. Beazley, P.D.P., made the presentation with appropriate remarks. P.D.P. Bro. H. Brockie, on behalf of Grand Lodge, presented P.D.P. Bro. B. Atoms with a past-district president’s diploma. Bro. Alorris suitably replied. The visitors included D.P. Bro. A. Bundle, of No. 1 district, D.P. Bro. Aletcalf, of No. 2 district, R.A.D. Bro. Atoms, and members of the Royal Arch Chapter; P.D.P. Bro. Beazley, and four sisters of West Harbour Lodge. . There was n splendid attendance ov members at the regular meeting of All Nations Lodge, when A.D. Bro. H. St. L. C'ulhert presided. General business was transacted, and several questions of interest and importance were discussed. Reports were received from various sources, and a new member was proposed. Prince of Wales Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.11.., a cordial welcome was extended to N.G. Bro. H. Williamson and his members, and after an interesting game, during which Waipori failed to give light, necessitating the use of torches, victory resulted with All Nations Lodge by do to 22 games. Supper was served m excellent style by Bro. R. M‘Alpine and ,1. Coithorpe, after which Bro. Williamson returned thanks, and assured those present that in the near future the tables would bo turned and their defeat avenged.
