MISS FRASER'S PARTY The Empire Theatre was packed to capacity last night, when an excellent variety concert was presented by Aliss Jimsie Fraser’s party in aid of the North-east Valley Church building fund. The programme, which was a judiciously varied one, was of the most entertaining character, and was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience: The following items were presented: ; —Dramatic soprano solos, Signorina Graziella Rossi; baritone solos, Alaster Don Rossi; vocal duet, Alisses Joy Gray and Irene Scott; male impersonations, Aliss Joy Gray;' selections, the Triumph Band; novelty items, ‘ Umdah ’; vocal solos. Airs Charles Samson; original patter act, ‘ Curry and Rice ’; banjo solo; Air Ahvyn Buckland; Humorous Scottish items, Mr George Watson; vocal solos, Aliss Eileen Hawley; humorous items, ‘Joey’; vocal solo, Air J. Thomson; vocal solo in character, Aliss Irene Scott; humorous item in character, Air Bert Nelson. The Triumph Baud concluded the programme with two popular numbers, the vocalist being Air Walla. Air J. Kersley was an efficient accompanist, and Air R. Currie acted as stage manager.
