LEAD FLUSHING THEFT
POLICE INVESTIGATE MYSTERY [Per Bxited Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 7, One of the most mysterious thefts committed in Auckland, that of between five and six hundredweight ■ of lead flushing from the roof of Campbell House, a large city building, is engaging the attention of the police.. The theft was discovered when two plumbers were scut to inspect tho roof following a severe leak that resulted in part of the Peter Pan Cabaret on the top floor of the building being flooded to a depth of about a quarter of an inch. The missing lead is valued at between £'2o and £'3U. All tho lead (lushing along -the western side ol the roof was lorn iiwuv.
