LONDON, November 21. “What is a friend?” The old problem is presented in an acute form bj the will of the late Mrs Sheffield, oi Birmingham, who bequeathed £60,00(1 for apportionment at the executors' discretion between “my many deal friends ” and their two selves. One executor says that deciding exactly who shall benefit out of Mrs Shelfielci’s “ manv friends ” is most puzzling. He wishes she bad mentioned names.
