RESELLERS’ RETALIATION fP*m United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, November ]5. Members of the Christchurch Petrol Re-sellers’ Association to-day locked seventy pumps of the Vacuum Oil Company Ltd., according to a statement made by the secretary of the Re-sellers’ Association, Mr G. F. Blogg. This number represents the bulk of the Vacuum installations in the city. Air Blogg stated that the action was taken as a protest against the recent 'action o( the company in reducing the price of first grade petrol to the level ol second grade, which action, ho declared, prejudiced the efforts of the resellers to secure a stabilisation of the prices of petrol. Mr F. A. Jones, manager of the Vacuum Oil Company in Christchurch, refused to comment on the situation, but said he was aware that a number of the company’s pumps were being closed.
