EAST TAIERI TENNIS GLUB

ANNUAL MEETIKG The annual meeting of the blast Taieri Lawn Tennis Club was presided over by the Rev. S. 0. Francis, in the absence of the president, Professor Collie. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet the Chairman said that the club was in quite a flourishing condition, and last year had a much improved membership compared with the previous year. He congratulated members on having completed a successful season. The election of office-bearers resulted:—President. Mr W. Allan; vicepresidents—Miss M’Cawe, Mrs Bedford, Messrs R. Kirk, D. Finch, and Professor J. Collie: club captain, Rev. S. C. Francis j vice-captains, Mr W. Wilson and Miss N. Miller; secretary, Mr W. S. Kirkland; treasurer, Mr 1. Miller; auditor, Mr W. Kirk ; committee— Captain, vice-captains, secretary, and treasurer, Mr and Mrs B. Watt, and Miss M. Burn. It was decided to have the courts top-dressed. Three new members were elected. Votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring president (Profssor Collie), the auditor (Mr W. Kirk), and the retiring captain (Mr J. Muirhcad).
