ESCAPED PRISONER RECAPTURED [Fxk TTniteo' Press Association.] WHAXGAREI, December 22. After being at liberty for a week’ Allan Alfred Beehre, who escaped from the Whangarei lockup, where he was held on a commitment warrant, was recaptured last night at . the Publia Works camp at Titoki. The hub wherein he sought concealment was surrounded by the police. In attempting to get away Beenre jumped through a window right into the arms of a constable. Charged this morning with being an incorrigible rogue, accused was sentenced to three months’ bard labour, concurrent with fourteen’days for default of payment of the previous fine, and on the indictment breach of his probation order was convicted and discharged.
