PLUNKET SHIELD MATCHES UMPIRES APPOINTED (Pkr United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 20. The appointment of umpires for the Plunket Shield matches has been made by the New Zealand Cricket Council. Advice has been received by the Wellington Association that Messrs Webb and Moore, of Wellington, have been appointed to act for the Otago-Welling-ton match, to bo played at Wellington, commencing on Saturday. The umpires for the Canterbury-Wellington match, to be played at Christchurch, commencing ou Saturday week, arc Messrs Forrester and Burgess, of Christchurch.
