MADRIGAL SINGERS

Wide interest has been aroused 'n the forthcoming presentation of 1 The Seaport and Her Sails ’ by Mr J. Crossley Clitheroe’s Madrigal Singers in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Wednesday evening of nest week.. Martin Shaw’s brilliant choral work, written to the famous words of John Masefield, is being sung for the first time in Now Zealand, and its treatment by this choir should bring homo that brilliance most pointedly. The choir has studied the work assiduous!}’, and, under such a highly and thoughtful conductor as Mr Clitheroe, an unusually charming performance should result, in addition, there will be the lovely madrigals and part songs that have always been an exquisite feature of this choir’s few public presentations. The box plans are at Rogg's, and an early application for seats will probably be necessary.
