DUNEDIN COMPOSERS

One of the chief objects of the Society of Musicians is to encourage and assist the study of music in every way possible. As a first step to bring the matter before the public and encourage further activity in this important branch of musical study, the society has arranged a most varied and interesting programme for next Saturday evening. Inquiries elecitgd the fact that tYiere was ample material available to provide a well-balanced programme. While no claim is made that the number of local composers so far discovered is by any means exhaustive, it is gratifying to find the list as extensive as it is. The society hopes that much latent talent may bo assisted to come to full fruition if encouragement is given. There will be no charge for admission. Further particulars are advertised.
