ALLEGED Hitt:ACHES OF GAAHXG ACT. At the Police Court this afternoon Arthur Edwin Lord, who was represented by Air C. J. L. While, was charged that, having the use of premises at 90 Alacandrow road, he used them as a common gaminghouse. Air White applied lor a-re-mand until Wednesday next, the application being granted. Bail was allowed in the accused’s own recognisance of CIOU. William Edward Holton and William Valentine Forrester were each charged with carrying on the business of a bookmaker. On the application of Chief-detective A'omig the accused were remanded until Monday next, bail being allowed each in bis own recognisance of CTOU.
