The Rev. Father Hyde, of Onehunga, brought his Dunedin visit to a close this morning. Mr Frank Foster, sen., was a passenger by the through express, en route for Melbourne, this morning. Major F. B. Williams, director Field Artillery, South Island Command, travelled to-day by train from Dunedin to Christchurch. Mr J. Sutherland Ross and Mr Jas, Evans entrained for Auckland this morning. Mr David Mitchell, dredge master of the Okarito dredge, spent his leave in Dunedin, and started for tho West Coast today. Mr Milnes Shand was a passenger tor Christchurch by tho mail train this morning. The Rev, A. J. Seamer, superintendent of the Methodist Home Mission department, came from Invercargill this morning, and went on for Auckland, purposing to return to Dunedin next week to take up Maori party work here, A party of four who have been stalking wapiti in the Te Anau district left Dunedin by train this morning—Mr A. Sutherland, for Hinekurar Mr F, M‘Caw, for Oamaru, and Messrs H. J,’ Nitz and E. L. Nitz, for Masterton. Mr Thomas Anderson returned to Port Chalmers last night from a holw day in Australia. The guest list at tho Grand Hotel ineludes Messrs P. W. Sampson and V, Drysdale (Auckland), Messrs D. F, Small and W. H. Brown (Marten), Messrs E. L. and H. Nitz (Masterton), Mr H. Walsham (Wellington). Mr and Mrs E. H. Davies. Mr J, O. Wilson (Christchurch), and Mr A. G. Stewart (Milton). . Visiters to the City Hotel include Mr V. Birtwhistle (Melbourne), Mr J. P* Hall (Wellington), Mr C. Benson (Christchurch), and.Mr C. S. Mackay (Invercargill).
