LAND BOARS
SECTIONS IN HAVELOCK At yesterday afternoon’s meeting of the Otago Land Board sections in tho town of Havelock (close to Waitahuna) were offered for selection on mining district land occupation lease. A 1 total of nineteen applications was received for the seventeen sections (formerly Havelock Commonage), ranging in area from 1 acre 3 roods to 24 acres 2 roods 17 poles. The successful applicants were as follow : Section 6, block Xlll.—James Henry. Section 2, block XVl.—Airs Margaret Carr. Sections 3 and 4, block XVl.—John’ L. Paul. Section 4, block XXXl.—William' Brown. Section 21, block XXXl.—Frederick James Crane. Section 20, block XXXII. —John' Lynch. . Section 22, block XXXll.—Daniel Jackson. „ ~ Section 1, block XXXIU—Hugh James Kavanagb. Section 1, block XXXlV.—Alexander Abernetny. Section 2, block XXXIV. —John' Lynch. Section 3, block XXXlV.—Alexander Abernethy. Section 5, block XXXIV.—John' Auld. . . Section 7, block XXXIV. —William Ryan. Section 8, block XXXIV. —David M* Auld. Sections 2 and 4, block XXXIII., 10 acres and 13 acres respectively, halfyearly rent ss, were not disposed of, and remain open for selection..
