ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
DANGEROUS EXPERIMENT. Serious and extensive injuries were received by a schoolboy named Alan Boyle when he caused an explosion while experimenting with chemicals at his home, 49 Ludlam street, Seatoun, Wellington. The little finger of his left hand was blown off, and he also received injuries to the eyes, face, hands, and arms. The boy was taken to hospital. FALL FROM WAGON. William Thompson, aged sixty-three,-residing at 22 Currie street, Port Chalmers, fell from a wool wagon on to the rails on the Port Chalmers wharf this morning. He was removed to the Cottage Hospital in an unconscious state,and later to the Dunedin Hospital. His was placed on the dangerously ill list, and was still unconscious this afternoon.
