CHILDREN'S PICNIC

The Women’s Institute at Brighton has offered to give forty children a picnic on Thursday. Children at St. Hilda or the south end who were unable to call at tho St. Andrew street depot to-day may call at the St. Hilda Town Hall to-morrow, between 10 o’clock and 12 o’clock, for tickets. Forty of these children will bo taken to Brighton freo_ by Mr Hobbs’s motors and will be picked up at tho Oval at 10.45 on Thursday morning, returning at 6.30.

All children are asked to bring mugs with them and are reminded that those at tho north end will be picked up at the Queen’s Gardens at 9 o’clock on Thursday morning, and those at the south end at the Oval, at 9 o’clock, with the exception of those going to Brighton, who will leave at 10.45 the same day. The St. Andrew street depot will be open to-morrow afternoon, when cakes, scones, etc., will be gratefully received.
