OBITUARY
MR LOUIS BRENNAN INVENTOR OF TORPEDO. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 20. The death is announced of Mr Louis Brennan, the inventor of the dirigible torpedo which beaijs his name, and of the gyroscopic monorail system of 'transport. Ho suffered from bronchitis, and went to Montreux to recuperate. Ho was knocked down by a motor car on December 26. He continued to the last to discuss with his chief technical assistant the progress of a secret invention which he considered would be his most important achievement. The work will bo continued.
[Mr Louis Brennan was born at Castlebar, Ireland, in 1852. He passed much of his ear# life in Australia. From 1887 to 1896 ho was superintendent of a Government factory in England, where his torpedoes were made, and from 1896 to 1907 was its consulting engineer. During the war he was engaged on confidential research work for the Air Ministry.]
