A schedule giving a complete analysis for each area of the city was attached, as follows:

Or J. B. Shacklock moved that the report be held over till after the meeting of the Assessment Council. “Now that the valuation has been distributed, has there been any fresh \ arrangement for dealing with the matter regarding objections?” asked Cr W.' Begg. “We know full well the many complaints received by individual councillors and the staff last year. Dozens of people had to go away in disgust.; Could these obstacles that evidently have arisen in the past be overcome this time, so that each individual objector may have the opportunity of laying his complaint before valuation officer.” l Cr Shacklock said .. a change in the methods had been made, and a considerable improvement on, the past year’s methods would result. The committee hoped to be in a' position in a few days to announce the proposals to the ratepayers. _ 1 Cr Begg: Quite satisfactory. The motion was carried.
