Serious shipping trouble at Port Adelaide is likely to lead to complete dislocation of the coar''l services, and may possibly extend to_interstate vessels. The Seamen’s Union has ordered the crews to hand in their notices on the following vessels of the Adelaide Steamship Company:—Quorna, Nalpa, Minnippa, and Kopoola. The trouble originated through the presence of nonunionists on board the Moonta. FIGHT WITH VOLUNTEERS. MAN FATALLY STABBED. ADELAIDE, January 19. (Received January 19, at 11.15 a.m.) During a fight between the waterside workers and volunteer labourers Ernest Harrison (fifty) was stabbed and died in hospital, and Alexander Hosie was stabbed in the thigh and sent to hospital. The trouble started when volunteers appeared at the licensing office seeking work.
