KINGSFORD SMITH'S FLIGHT Press Association—By .Telegraph—Copyright. KOEPANG, January 18. Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith arrived on Sunday afternoon. He landed, despite a danger signal, and stuck in soft ground near the aerodrome, the result of continuous rain. The machine was dragged out of the bog into a harder patch after two hours’ work. Kingsford Smith left at 1 o’clock for Darwin. FORCED TO TURN BACK. SYDNEY, January 18. The Darwin station of Amalgamated Wireless Ltd. radioed that “ Smithy ” had turned back to Keopang two hours after leaving owing to bad weather.
