Ocean Beach Domain. —12.30 p.m., at Band Rotunda, St. Hilda, group 154 and those men of group 159 who did not work in the earlier part of the week. Otago Harbour Board. —12.30 p.m., at Leith bridge, Harbour terrace, groups 114, 137, and 143. D. 0.0. Reserves Department.—B a.m., at Knox street, Opoho, groups 403, 404, 406, 37; 12.30 p.m., at croquet pavilion, Montecillo, group 158. Works Department.—To commence 8 a.m, to-morrow, 48, Woodhaugh street, at quarry. To commence 12.30 p.m. tomorrow, 106, Musselburgh Rise, at Bayfield road; 111, Benhar street and Scoular street, Mornington; 112, Wharf street, at French street; 118, North road, one and a-half miles above tram terminus; 125, Woodhaugh street, at quarry; 128, Caversham Valley road, at Aberfeldy street; 133, Wakari road, at Ross Creek; 108, Tainui road, at Dundonald street; 141, Queen’s drive, at City road.
WORK OF RELIEF DEPOTS Big demands are still being made on the Hospital Board’s unemployment relief depot in Dowling street, and single men as well as married men are receiving relief in their stand-down week. The depot requires a supply of men’s trousers and boots, and would also be grateful for donations of vegetables to meet immediate needs. _ Activities at the Citizens’ Relief Depot in the Octagon have been hampered by a shortage of supplies. There have been quite a few whose wants have not been able to be attended to owing to lack of stocks on hand. Money and goods are still required if the work at the Central Mission as well as at Dowling street is to be continued. The following donations to the Central Mission depot are gratefully acknowledged:—H.E.B., £1; Miss M., £1; member St. Hilda Methodist Church, ss; D.C.C., 10s; Mr Reed, 3s; “ Anon.,” 2s 6d and Is; T. Goodchild (per Pastor More), four dozen pies; Duke’s staff, Mr Henderson, and Mrs : Denny, meat; Laurenson’s, Miss Fraser, Wright’s, J. R. Brown, Young and Anderson, MacEay Bros., Miss Findlay, J.G.8., M.E.N., Mrs Crooks, J, Bambery, and Mrs Beatson, groceries; Young Lum, twelve sacks cabbage, two sacks lettuce: Chooquee, Page, and, Robertson (Waitati), Mrs Gould, vegetables; Mr P, Dalliessi, “Bon Cafe,” seventy-five meal tickets.
