VISITOR FROM LONDON

NEW ZEALAND GINL'S SUCCESS

An Interesting visitor to Dunedin at present is Miss Ruahine C. Beyers, a charming young New Zealander who went to Great Britain several years ago to further study in her profession of nursing, and who has returned as the representative of a big London manufacturing concern. Miss Beyers, who is entitled to the letters N.Z.R.M.M., arrived in Dunedin from the north last night. This lady visitor is the representative of the Milton Company, London, who presented several hundred pounds’ worth c f their antiseptic product to the Government for use in the Napier area after the disastrous earthquake last year. In her studies at Home Miss Beyers came into contact with the Milton Company, with the result that she was offered and accepted a position as lecturer and demonstrator of their products. ' She has been in this manner in New Zealand since last March, and after spending about six weeks in Dunedin she will return to England, and in the near future pay another visit to New Zealand.

- Since leaving her home in Hawke’s Bay some years, ago Miss Beyers has travelled widely oyer Great Britain and parts of the Continent, and maintains that there is no education like travel. Fond of the air, she has flown long distances by aeroplane on the other side of the world, and in New Zealand has also used the air service for business trips, particularly in the Gisborne district.

Miss Beyers is at present arranging her Dunedin demonstrating and lecturing programme, in the course of which she hopes to meet representatives of the medical, dental, and nursing professions.
