(Received January 19, at 10.5 a.m.) Clare Dennis, aged fifteen, smashed the world’s record for 200 metres breaststroke at the Domain Baths by 1 4-ssec. The previous best was 3min 10 2-ssec by Marjorie Hinton, of England. Violet Armstrong broke Dulcie Raines’s State and Australian record for 50yds freestyle, clocking 28 2-ssec.
