A meeting of the Dunedin Bowling Centre was hold last evening, and was attended by Messrs <l. Allan (chairman). H. Rowley, C. Rawlinson, J. H. llardio, E. Mullenger, R. Proctor, W. Thompson, J. G. Butler, T. Smith, J. /eitch, W, Morrison, and E. Tamblyn. Mr W. S. Culbcrt (vice-president) .endered his resignation as a member )f the centre, stating that he had been transferred to Christchurch. Ho washed Jin centre best wishes for the future. -The resignation was accepted, and Mr Butler was appointed to the Match Committee in Mr Culbort’s place. The financial statement for the Christmas tournament showed that the receipts amounted to £52 16s and the payments to £4O 15s Id, showing a profit of £l2 Os lid. It was decided to write to the Canterbury Centre suggesting March 3 or 10 as a suitable date for the OtagoCantorbury match, to be played in Dunedin. The centre also fixed February 13 as the date for the match against Oamaru at Oamaru, and for Elderly Bowlers’ Day. It w r as left to the president, the vicepresident, and the secretary to arrange to hold the match against Southland at Invercargill at whichever one of the two weeks in which the Canterbury match would not be played.—One member suggested that in the interests of economy and also to save time the match lie played at Gore.—The Chairman expressed the opinion that the Invercargill match was one which thej should make every effort to keep up. The date for the final of the fourrink championship was altered from February 26 to February 27. It ivas reported that the following telegram had been sent to the secretary of the Dunedin Centre (Mr 11. -fanning) at Christchurch: —“ Dunedin Centre’s congratulations to its skilful players—Scott, Foster, Hinchcliff, Tyrrell, Ferguson, Buist, Gardiner, Deare, Hutchison, Forster, Wilson, Coull, and their club mates in doubles.” The centre decided to_ send a telegram to the council asking it not to omit to take up the question of exte'nd--11 g the period of daylight saving over March, and including the whole- of Easter. It was agreed that the programme for the Easter tournament bo the same aS it was last year. _ Accounts amounting to £29 16s 2d vero passed for payment. MOSGIEL V. ROSLYN MILLS The annual match between the Mosgiel and Roslyu Woollen Mills was played on Saturday on the Roslyn jowiing green, and the game resulted in a win for the Roslyn by 37 points, each side now having eleven wins to its credit. Mr Nicolson, on behalf of the Mosgiel men, congratulated their opponents on their win, and expressed their pleasure in meeting again for the friendly contest. Mr T. C.
