RIFLE SHOOTING
KAITANGATA DEFENCE CLUB
The Kaitangata Club fired the first stage of the first competition for the Lee Cup on Saturday. There was a fairly good attendance on the range, but though n few good scores were put on, the average shoeing was poor, a strong fishtail breeze catching most of the shooters badly at times, R. Kitto had a good 35 at 500yds. M. Brown (32) and R. M'Crostie (31) also shot wdl at 500yds. At 600yds 11. M'Crostie topped the score with'32. W. Crowe and M. Brown were next highest with 30 each.
