MARSEILLES, January 7. ■ (Received January 8, at 10 a.m.) Kingsford Smith arrived at Marignane at 3.30, after an average speed of 100 miles per nour. BRITISH MOTH PLANES ORDERS FROM FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS. (British Official .Wireless.), RUGBY, January 6. Fifteen Moth training aeroplanes .which were recently ordered by Brazil will be the first British machines placed by contract in the Brazilian army air service. The order was awarded after comparison with seven competitive types of machines put forward by constructors of four nations. Wireless gear, night and blind flying instruments, bombs, electric cameras, and rocket signalling apparatus are included in the equipment of these touring machines,. of which the maximum speed is .well over 100 miles an hour. Similar craft have been supplied recently for training purposes to the Governments of Portugal, Sweden, China, Iraq, and Egypt. CRASH IN PENNSYLVANIA TWO WOMEN FLYERS KILLED. NEW YORK, January 7. (Received January 8, at 12.10 p.m.) A Harrisburg (Pennsylvania) message states that a widespread search for two intrepid women flyers ended today in the finding of their bodies crushed in the wreckage of their plane on Bowers Mountain, forty miles from there. The dead are Mrs Debbie Stanford, formerly of Guelph (Ontario) and Mrs Ruth Stewart (St. Louis). The airwomen, who were on the first leg of a flight which they hoped to terminate at Buenos Aires, were lost on Monday night.
