AN APPRECIATION FROM DEEP STREAM.

TO TH« XDITOX, Sir, —Will you grant me the hospitality of your columns to express grateful thanks to the Rev. A. C. Watson and good people of the East Taieri district for their kindly action in providing Christmas fare at Deep Stream camp? Many of the men, through no fault of their own, were compelled to spend Christmas in camp, and the generosity of these kind friends in providing Christmas meals helped to make our lime in camp more endurable. The Rev. Mr Watson has been a good friend to the men here, for which we are deeply grateful. The Good Book says: “Blessed are they that consider the poor.” To the Rev. Mr Watson, and good ladies of East Taieri, on behalf of the boys, I say: Thank you.—l am, etc., P. Harpeh. Relief Camp, Deep Sream, Dec. 27.
