(Received December 29, at 10 a.m.) Reports have reached London that there is a possibility of Newfoundland declaring insolvency. Anxiety is felt whether she can meet tho £18,000,000 interest on Government bonds due on January 1. Mr J. H. Thomas declares that he is aware that Newfoundland’s position is serious, being another proof how the economic blizzard is sweeping the world.
