SUNDAY SERVICES

At First Church the Rev. W. Allen Stevely will preach in the morning on ‘Life’s Milestones,’ and his evening subject will be ‘ A Great Text and a Great Preacher.’ Dr Galway will preside at the organ. Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct services in Knox Church. The services at Maori Hill Presbyterian Church will bo conducted > by Rev. A. C. W. Morning subject, ‘He Would Have Gone Further’; evening, ‘Then Cometh the End.’ The pulpit of St. Stephen’s Church will be occupied by the Rev. Donald MTvor, of Marton. The Rev. L. B. Neale will conduct morning service at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, and in the evening the Rev. H. E. Bellhouse will preach, taking for his subject ‘What is the Underneath?’ Mr A. E. Orr will render the solo, ‘ The Holy City. Services at the Methodist Central Mission, Octagon Hall, will be conducted by the Rev. Leslie B. .Neale. The subject at the evening service wall be ‘ Old Years You Must Not Die. The soloist will be Miss Tui Salt. Services at the St. Kilda Methodist Church, will be conducted by Rev, Percy Paris, who will preach in the morning on ‘The Fullness of Time,' and in the evening his subject will be ‘ The Three Wise Men.’ At Cargill Road Methodist Church the morning service will be conducted by Mr Lewis Fox. The Rev. H. L. Blamires will be the preacher at 6.30 p.m., the subject being ‘ Holiday Recreation. St. Clair Methodist Church morning service will be conducted by the Rev. H. L. Blamires. The topic will be Rest in the Midst of Work.’ Mr RossHughes will conduct the service at 0.30 p-m. , Services appropriate to the dose of the year will he conducted in the Hanover Street Baptist Church by the Rev. E. S. Tuckwell. Services at the Caversham Baptist Church will be conducted by Rev. H. E. Edridge. Morning topic. The Unknown To-morrow,’ and in the evening, ‘The Lesson of Memory.’ Mrs A. L. Scott will sing. The Rev. Albert Mead will conduct the services at the Congregational Church, Moray place. The following Sunday combined services will be Held in conjunction with the Wesloyans at Trinity Church, Stuart street. The Rev. James M. Smeeth will preach at the United Congregational Church. His talk to the children will be on ‘Holidays,’ and to the adults on ‘The Books on Magic. 3 His evening topic will bo ‘ The God of 193... At York Place Hall, in the evening, the subject of the address will be The Riches of Christ, Who Became Poor, That All Who Trust In Him Might Become Rich.’ Adjutant Tong will bo the speaker at the morning and evening service at the Salvation Army. Mrs Adjutant long will deliver the address at the happyhour service in the afternoon. First Church of Christ, Scientist, will hold services in Allbell Chambers, Stuart street, at 11 a.m. and / P-ui. The subject will be Christian Science. At the Higher Thought Centre Mrs Brooks will deliver a Christmas message. Mr W. B. Reynolds will speak at the Spiritualist Church in the evening. His subject will be ‘The Purpose of Life on Earth.’
