TUG ROOSEVELT IN DISTRESS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, December 24. The tug Roosevelt, the famous ship used by Commander Peary when he discovered the North Pole, sent an S.O.S. off Cape Flattery, “Shipping water in terrific seas.” The Roosevelt went out to meet the schooner Commodore, which had just won a sailing race from Honolulu to Cape Flattery.
