I'he ex-Kaiser’s use ol the stylo “ Iniperator Rex” Ims led to a curious lawsuit. A land sale necessitated tlm ex-Kaiser's signature. When returned it read “Wilhelm i.R.” The judge decided that the signature was illegal, and returned the paper with blue pencil marks querying the signature. The ex-Kaiser this time signed it “ Wilhelm, Prince of Prussia,” and simultaneously filed a •feu it lor damages against the judge, claiming that the pencil marks constituted property damage.
