CAPTAIN DESMOND COKE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 27. (Received April 28, at 11.30 a.m.) The death is announced of Captain Desmond Coke, the author. [Captain Desmond Coko was horn in 1879. He was educated at Shrewsbury and Oxford. On the outbreak of war he joined the North Lancashire Regiment and was promoted Adjutant in December, 1914. He was invalided out of the Army in 1917 with the permanent rank of captain. From 1917 to 1920 he was senior house master at Claycsmorc School, and in 1923 he returned as vice-master. His first book was published in 1903, and subsequent 'publications included several school stories and novels/)
