FRANCE AND ITALY CONCERNED CURIOUS FRONTIER TRIAL Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 26. (Received April 28, at 1.15 p.m.) Tho ‘ Daily Mail’s ’ Paris correspondent says that an extraordinary transfrontier examination, unparalleled in European judicial procedure will be conducted when Gualino is brought by the Italian authorities from Lipari (Sicily). A wooden shed with two doors, is being erected on tho FrancoItalian frontier. One door opens on the Italian side, and the other on the French side. In the middle of the hut will be a table, half in Italy, and half in France. Italian Gendarmes will bring Gualino through the Italian door, and ho will sit with the Italian consul on tho Italian side of the table. Two French magistrates, with clerks, will sit on tho opposite side and interrogate him. The proceedings are expected to last two days. [A message received on January 23, stated:—Tho Turin correspondent of •The Times,’ states that the spectacular cancer of Commendatore Riccardo Gualino, an international financier, and one of Italy’s biggest business men, ended with his arrest on an undisclosed charge, but it is attributed to tho grave situation of the Bauca Agricola, which was the instrument of his speculations. Gualino pioneered the artificial silk industry, led the life of a grand seigneur, had it magnificent picture gallery, and owned a Moorish castle on tho Riviera. Ho purchased famous thoroughbreds in England, and he owned newspapers. Gualino’s connection with the Oustric affair was revealed during the inquiry in Paris.]
