OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS LARGEST ENTRIES FOR YEAR The Otago swimming and diving championships at the Municipal Bat's on Saturday, night have drawn the largest entries lor several years, and m some of the men’s championship events there are as' many as eight starters, including such well-known swimmers as N. H. Bailey, S. M'Kenzie, H. D. Gillies, C. J. E. Hi‘Lean, and C. Tne 100yds and 440yds should both be exciting races, and the presence of the New Zealand champion, Hoy Calder, in the men’s diving championship, will be ono of the features of the carnival. The intermediate unci ladies’ dives should both produce good competition, and it is expected that at least one record will be broken in the junior boys’ division in which the com petitors include K. Geddes (New Zealand record holder), W. Jarvis, and W. A. Buckland.
