The tender is the highest of three received. That the application of Messrs John Edmond for approval, pursuant to the board's by-laws, of a patent low down flushing cistern manufactured by Messrs Twyford, as per sample submitted to the drainage engineer, be granted, and that authority bo given for the connection of such cistern to the board’s sewerage system, subject to the following conditions: —(a) That the applicants place a distinct water line mark on the inside wall of the cistern, such line to be marked “water line,” and be placed not less than 6in from the top of the cistern; (b) that all cisterns be properly adjusted and marked before being sold for use in the Drainage Board’s area.

Authority has been granted to invito tenders by public advertisement for the supply and delivery of two pumping plants for the St. Andrew street and Union street low level storm water systems respectively. Tenders will close at noon on February 1, 930.
