BROADCAST RECITALS.

TO THU EDITOR . Sir, —Reading the articles in voutf paper recently regarding the theatre foyers, it has struck me that the inspectors and officials have been using rather drastic measures in depriving these theatres of their beauty. Might I suggest that these same officials get busy on public nuisances, such as the dreadful noise that is audible at a considerable distance from some of the gramophone and radio shops in town?* Recitals should be confined to halls only. I am quite sure that intending buyers will enter these shops without the wares being shouted from the doorstop.—l am, etc., Musician. October ,‘VI.
