A Barrier message states that lira men who were trapped in a hut by bush (ires, which wore aided by strong winds, eventually reached safety in a half-suffocated state. The flames raged through the district, which was missed by the extensive blaze a lew days ago. All available men are now fighting the outbreak. Already the damage is great, and Rock Lily and Mountain View Stations are' gravely threatened by a. fire with a front of fifty miles which is raging in the Abercrombie Mountains. Owing to the inaccessible country lb will probably burn until rain falls.
