' Tlio inland and coastal routes ot the South Island Alain drunk railway and the Lake Coleridge electric power development scheme will be visited by the Hon. E. A. Ransom (Minister ol Works) during his tour commencing on January 25, when the Minister will leave lor Christchurch. Ho will proceed to the Waiau Valley on the South Island Alain Trunk inland route next day, and go on to Waiau and Cheviot, wliero he will meet the Hon. G. W. Forbes (Alinister of Lands). r l ho return journey will he from Cheviot to Christchurch over the coastal route ol the main trunk. , , On Alonday, January 28, the Minister of Works will inspect the Now Brighton protective works and proceed to Timani to attend a, Inaction at Geraldine in the evening. Next day ho will visit the Lake Coleridge power scheme and return to Wellington in the evening. He will only spend one day in the capital,_ as lie returning south on Friday, February I, and proceeding next day to Oainnrn and thence to Alexandra. During the subsequent week Air Ransom Intends to devote several days to an inspection of the irrigation works in Central Otago, and his itinerary for that week has not yet been completed. The Alinister will also visit the Invercargill district |irior to his return to Wellington on February 10.
