ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
COLLAPSE IN CHOIR. Tlie death occurred last night of a well-known citizen of Palmerston North, Mr William Mviudy, aged sixtythree ybars. The deceased collapsed suddenly while singing in the choir prior to an induction service in the Congregational Church. CHILD KNOCKED DOWN. Stewart M'Murdo, aged four, was knocked down by a motor car at Invercargill yesterday afternoon, and was admitted to the hospital suffering from a fractured leg and collarbone. CHILD’S DEATH. An infant named .Murray Schieflelbien, aged one year and nine months, whose parents reside at 121 Glasgow street, was admitted to the hospital at 10.15 p.in., on Wednesday, and died about Half an hour after his admission, when ho was suffering from convulsions. An inquest was held this afternoon. LABOURER’S DEATH. Advice has been received at the local police station that James Cahill, a labourer aged thirty years, was found dead on a road at .Dumbarton, near Roxburgh. Indications point to an accidental fall from a. bicycle.
