ST. STEPHEN'S CHURCH
The large audience which gathered in the St. Stephen’s Church Hall last evening was treated to a really enjoyable and varied entertainment, arrange 1 by the Young Men’s Club. After the chairman (the Rev. T. Miller) had extended a welcome to those present, the shield won by St. Stephen’s for junior Soccer and Rugby football were presented to Mr Knipe by Mr Watson on belialf of the club. The programme (tvliieli was mostly comprised of Rymlinstic' displays) was as follows Miss 0. Meiming; low bar, Mr I. Smith and pupils; humorous item, Mr Benfell ; song, Miss‘Grace; gymnastic horse,Mr Smith and' pupils; piano and banjo, Messrs Trevor and Bolton; elocutionary' items, Miss Nana Newey; juggling homorist, Mr Paul Reno; high bar, Mr Smith and pupils; sketch, Mho Labour Bureau,’ Messrs Sam St. Clair and Ralston M’Dowell; patter sketch, Messrs Paul Reno and Newey; and ■mat exercises by Mr I. Smith and pupils. At the conclusion of the proj gramme an enjoyable supper was served by Mrs Knipe and assistants.
