MINING AT WAITAHUNA “FIAT LUX,” the well-known financial critic, in a review dated July 20, 1928, of the prospectus issued by the Paddy’s Point. Gold Mining Co., Ltd., said: “Speculators should obtain very handsome returns indeed from this venture, which has the writer’s fullest support.” The total capital offered for public subscription is 45,000 shares of 5s each, payable 6d per share on application, and the balance in calls of fid per share per month. At the first meeting of directors, held this week, 25,690 shares were allotted, and since this meeting 2,000 shares have been applied for, so that less than 18,000. shares are available to investors. A' prospectus was only issued a month ago,- and such a satisfactory response hy investors already is excellent evidence that the proposition is an attractive one. The personnel of the directorate is mainly composed of experienced mining men, and a largo proportion of the shares already applied for have been received from investors who have inspected the_ property for themselves. Tho claim is situated at Waitahuna, two hours’ driVe by motor, and alongside the main road: intending investors desiring to inspect the claim are requested to communicate with the secretary. Full particulars and forms of application for shares can be obtained at the secretary’s office, W. A MITSON and CO., Trustees Executors Building, 24 .Water Street, Dunedin. •’Phone, 11-094. lAdvt.]
