WOMEN COMMUNISTS

DEMONSTRATION IN LONDON HKAKI BLOUSES ON PARADE. LONDON, July 30. “ Babies, bugles, and bunkum,” is how the ‘Daily Mail’ refers to Sunday’s demonstration of 1,500 Communist women from all parts of Britain in Trafalgar square. The parade was held in militarist fashion. The women wore khaki blouses and red tam-o’-shantera. Bugles were sounded, and miltary orders were shouted. The excursionists included 350 miners’ wives from South Wales, with babies in arms.
