GOLF Programmes lor tho championship and handicap tournament in connection with the visit of' tho Australian golfers for tho Kirk-Windeyer Cup are now being printed, and will he in the hands of all affiliated clubs at the end of this week, The tournament dates are Januarv 26, 27, and 28, and entries will dose witli tho secretary of the New' Zealand Golf Association on Saturday, January 21. The United States Golf Association, in acknowledging a description of the New Zealand Golf Association’s method of recording scores and results at championship meetings, and also a copy o I the annual report, which contains a list of the winners of all championship events since their inception, wrote under date of December 3: —“Your method of recording scores of competitions is certainly most interesting, and, without question, more efficient than any method with which f am familiar. Other than the fact that Earl Jollicoc’s Cup has_ always been won by an amateur, itis interesting to see what a splendid record Mr A. D. S. Duncan has made in New Zealand golf. It certainly is comparable to the record of Mr George S. Lyon in Canada and Mr John Ball in England.”
